Do I have unlimited data volume (flat rate)?
There is no traffic limit for student housing in Dresden and Tharandt. In order to ensure service quality, traffic is still metered. If an individual affects the network behavior of others, his/her network access may be blocked preventively.
Residents in Zittau and Görlitz have a daily data volume of 10 GB at their disposal. There is no consumption metering from 8 am to 6 pm. At the end of the day, the unused data volume is transferred to the following day up to a maximum of 100 GB. After the data volume has been used up, internet access is throttled to a speed of 256kbit/s until midnight. Only the university infrastructure (e.g. OPAL) is still available at full speed.
