Summer Festival in the Student City Wundtstraße
More than 1,600 students live in the Wundtstraße and Zellescher Weg residence halls. But how often do friendships or relationships that could be called "good neighbors" really develop?
In order to improve the neighborly togetherness and to enliven the area, the Studentenwerk Dresden in cooperation with the student club Wu5 e.V. and student initiatives and tutors has been organizing an annual summer festival since 2017.
Sports, games, delicious food, cool drinks and sometimes the broadcast of major sporting events provide the framework for getting to know each other.
Wundtstraße Summer Party on June 19, 2024
Celebrate with us on Wednesday, June 19 from 3 p.m. in the student city Wundtstraße. Get to know your neighbors from Wundtstraße in person - in front of the stage, at the public viewing or over a beer. In the afternoon, starting at 4 pm, there will be great bands on the Summer Festival stage - more information and a detailed schedule will be available in the coming weeks.
For sports fans, we will be showing the European Championship soccer match between Germany and Hungary on several screens starting at 6 p.m.
The bicycle self-help workshop Rad i. O. and AG DSN will open their doors and have some surprises in store. At the stand of the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) you can get advice on brain food - a great offer before the exam period.
At the stand of our turnery, you can try your hand at turning under the guidance of master turner Mrs. Behnisch.
The youngest visitors are also well catered for: the Studentenwerk's "Miniforscher" daycare center invites all young visitors to play, explore and experiment together.
The student club Wu5 supports us with a delicious barbecue and a beverage stand. In addition, the club is organizing an after-show party in its rooms on August-Bebel-Straße.
Starting at 10 p.m. the Kino im Kasten cinema on the festival grounds will show a selection of the award-winning films of the German Short Film Award 2023.
