The German government has announced that it will provide students with a 200-euro energy allowance.
From March 15, all students in Germany can apply for this allowance via a central application portal.
All students who were enrolled at a university or technical college on December 1, 2022 are entitled to the allowance. The prerequisite is a place of residence or habitual residence in Germany on this fixed date.
The energy price allowance is neither taxed nor offset against any social benefits. Studentenwerk Dresden handles the processing of applications for all state and private universities in Saxony. This affects approximately 120,000 eligible students.
You will automatically receive your individual access data from your university in advance.
