Your children are in good hands with us! A total of 230 children are taken care of by 43 loving and responsible qualified personnel in two houses.

The support ratio is according to the Saxon child care law. That means, i.e. there are three child care workers in an infant group of 18 children (8 weeks olds up to one year olds).


  • Admission of primarily children of studying parents and employees of Dresden universities and scientific institutions
  • individual strengths and the ability of the children to work together are supported by a wide range of educational offers
  • about a quarter of the children are of international origin, there are over 15 different family languages

Focus of the pedagogical work

  • social, playful learning in mixed age groups
  • child-friendly, everyday life-integrated and intercultural project work
  • The daycare center SpielWerk is "Haus der kleinen Forscher"(House of the little explorers)
  • federal program "Sprach-Kitas"
  • Place of learning practice: Training of pedagogical specialists


  • Daycare centre SpielWerk: 180 places, from approx. 1 year to school entry
  • Daycare Miniforscher: 70 places, from 9th week to 3 years
