University Orchestra Dresden
The Dresden University Orchestra unites over 100 members in its two instrumentations, symphonic and chamber philharmonic. Among them are mainly students, employees and graduates of the TU Dresden, who find pleasure and friends in making music together in their free time. The rehearsals take place weekly, and at the end of the semester both ensembles present themselves in performances with changing, wide-ranging repertoire at a recognised high level. Since the summer semester 2020 Helmuth Reichel Silva has been Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the University Orchestra Dresden.
